Secret Cinema
Objective:
Objective: to design in-world branding, signage, and graphic systems that immersed guests in the storybook-inspired world of Wishmas, Secret Cinema's original Christmas experience.
Coming to a Secret Cinema production means being immersed in a movie's narrative world, but Wishmas was the exception: it was original IP. As Head of 2D Design, I led the development of a cohesive visual identity for world-building, threading through the experience's storytelling from signage and set graphics to costume and digital motion assets. This was an opportunity to create an enchanting visual system, bringing the story of Wishmas to life with playful typography, vibrant colours, and layered textures.
In close collaboration with the creative, production, partnership, and merchadise teams, I led my team in establishing an end-to-end visual journey. The resulting world blended fairytale whimsy with innocent nostalgia to emotionally connect audiences to the experience. The resulting visual language of Wishmas became a hallmark of how strong design direction is necessary to deepen immersion and unify large-scale experiential storytelling.
